A couple years ago I was listening to KLOVE's morning radio program as they discussed children's prayers. A mother called in to tell a story about her little girl who asked God for something impossible. As everyone on the air laughed about this child's silly request, one host reminded us that our God CAN do the impossible! The message was that we need to teach our kids to pray BIG prayers. But I think as adults, maybe we're the ones who really need to be taught to pray for the seemingly unfathomable. Sometimes in our practical, logical, small-by-comaparison minds, we forget to pray on the miracle spectrum, having disconnected from our child-like faith.
40 Day Challenge--Day 4:
Spend five minutes in prayer asking God for a miracle. If you've been praying for a particular miracle regularly, in this prayer, embrace the fact that it IS possible for God to answer your prayer. Maybe you haven't even been praying for your miracle because you didn't think it possible; start that prayer today! If there's not a need for a miracle in your life at this time, pray for one in the life of someone you know who is need of help that can only come from our Lord and Savior.
If you feel comfortable sharing your miracle request, please describe your need in the comment section below (or privately on the prayer request page) and I will happily pray with you!
