Proverbs 23:13-14

As we were driving in the car on the way to church this morning, I told Tim to put his hand on my belly where the baby was moving. Like most times, she stopped as soon as he put his hand on her. So, he decided to try and wait her out and left his hand on my stomach while we drove. At the same time he was silently reading a couple chapters in Proverbs. A few weeks ago our pastor challenged the church to read a chapter of Proverbs a day until the end of the year in order to gain wisdom. Tim was catching up and read Proverbs 23:13-14 aloud as it pertained to the baby. By this time about five minutes had passed without any movement from the baby. The verses read:

13 Do not withhold discipline from a child;
    if you punish them with the rod, they will not die.
14 Punish them with the rod
    and save them from death.

The INSTANT he finished reading aloud...WHACK! She nailed me in the side with a real whopper of a kick. Guess she has her own opinion of those verses, haha. We laughed hysterically at her timing and will certainly remember that moment for a long time.
