Still Waiting...

40 Weeks
Alright Kiddo, aaaannnnny day now! If you would have asked me three weeks ago if I thought the baby would e late I would have said, "No way!" But, we're not a couple days past his due date and there's still no sign that he's like to enter the world. Maybe this cold, rainy weather is keeping him happily inside.

On Monday, I had a non-stress test, which monitored his heartbeat, and the doctor reported that it looked great. At that appointment, I was only 2 1/2 centimeters dilated and my cervix was very posterior. Another non-stress test on Tuesday   confirmed that the baby's heart rate continued to look good. If he doesn't arrive by Friday, they'll monitor his heart rate again, followed by a sonogram to check the amniotic fluid level. And if he doesn't decide to make his debut after the weekend, I'll be induced on Monday morning.
I DO NOT want to be medically induced, due to increased risks and more painful labor. In an effort to bring him naturally, I have a massage scheduled tomorrow (after Tim's last final) to hopefully kickstart labor. Two days past Adeline's due date, I had a massage and pedicure and contractions started just three hours later. It could have been complete coincidence, but maybe not. Let's see if we can get him out of the womb before Monday! Prayers appreciated =).
