Welcome back to OFH's 40 day Lent challenge, an effort to prepare our hearts for Easter. If you're joining us for the first time, feel free to participate in day one or simply start with today's challenge. I hope yesterday's prayer time filled you with peace, a palpable closeness to Christ, and the understanding that He always hears your prayers (1 John 5:14). Let's embark further on our 40 day journey to follow Christ! How often do you feel completely satisfied? Unfortunately, I can't say it's a state that often resonates within me. Here are just some of the thoughts that permeate my daily attitude: 5:30 A.M. is TOO early; but I JUST vacuumed yesterday; anooooother piece of furniture covered in smeared banana; five tantrums in one day; if my dogs bark one more time...; I long to read a book; I need some ME time; I only had six hours of sleep; I wish I had new curtains; if only my hair was straight; I just want five minutes to eat a meal without someone tugging on my leg. Luckily, God provided me some inspiration to practice complete satisfaction when I came across a song by Phil Wickham. The song Divine Romance sent chills rippling through my body when I heard the line, "In Your presence, God, I'm completely satisfied." Because when I'm with Him, I am! I'm completely satisfied with His love, His grace, His companionship, His trustworthiness, and His plan. And it's the most peaceful place, to be completely satisfied in Him. The problem is that every day becomes just another day and I don't always put Him in every moment. If I trust Him, then I should be completely satisfied in each circumstance I encounter during my day. Because His plans are to prosper me and give me hope (Jeremiah 29:11). 40 Day Challenge--Day 2: Be completely satisfied today. Take a moment to relish in every blessing you encounter and the beauty you're surrounded by in God's creation. When something in your day doesn't seem ideal, stop yourself the instant you feel unrest and find a way to give thanks for that circumstance. Watch this video, set to Divine Romance, for inspiration. Happy satisfaction-ing! Please leave a comment describing your favorite blessing during day two and/or a "not-so-ideal" situation you were able to turn into a moment of thanks.

My blessing for the day is Andrew finally able to eat actual baby food without having an adverse reaction. His happiness and not being in pain is all the blessing I need as he grows each day.

YAY, that's fantastic news! What a blessing! Addie started responding normally to food around seven months, just like the docs said she would. Makes everything a lot easier when they're not vomiting and screaming at every meal!
