Lent is here! Join me on a journey to prepare our hearts for the eternal life-giving return of Jesus that we celebrate on Easter. We're fasting from being a ________ wife (fill it in for YOU) and creating a new habit that transforms us into a life-giving, encouraging, intentional, joyful wife. (Maybe your blank space says "nagging," "critical, "boring," "busy," "tired," or "unfulfilled." Or maybe you're already excelling in your role as a wife and you just want to keep improving!)
I don't know about you, but this season of my life is consumed with an endless list of to-dos! And when I put my energy into all the stuff, I become exhausted and lackluster in my marriage. It's time to kick that habit and create a new one. Through one small, intentional act each day we're going to bring restoration, fun, and joy back into our marriages. God intends for our marriages to be a reflection of Jesus' love. Is your marriage an adequate representation of His sacrificial, genuine, bone-deep, Holy-Spirit filled, eternal love? For me, I need this challenge to lead me to God's abundant plan for my marriage. Join me on the Our Faithful Home Facebook page each day for your next challenge! Like the OFH Facebook page if you haven't already and leave a comment if you're participating. I can't wait to do this with you! Would you also be bold enough to share what you filled in for the blank space above? We're partnering to change that word. Let our goal be to have our husband fill it in with an exceptional word on Easter day =). Please share this post with your friends that could benefit from the challenge!
