A Dangerous Prayer

In this new year, what kind of relationship are you seeking with God? Are you searching for one at all? "Keep Making Me," by the band Sidewalk Prophets, makes me question the direction of my relationship with the Lord. How deep do I want to go? How personal do I want to get? How much of my life am I willing to change to be more like Jesus? Will I be bold enough to pray for Him to break me so I can healed by Him, and Him only? Do I have the courage to pray for emptiness and loneliness so I can be completed and held by God? Yes. I do. It's scary, but I am willing to pray this. I place my full trust in His hands so I can relish in the glory of a close and personal relationship with my Savior.

A couple years ago He placed me in precisely this position to teach me that He is the only one I can truly rely on and He is the only one who can fulfill me. A hard lesson, but one I'm eternally thankful for, as the benefits of this knowledge are completely divine and immeasurable. Listen to this tune and pray for the courage to live these lyrics, and in turn, experience God's compassion and agape love. I promise you won't regret it!
"Keep Making Me"

Make me broken
So I can be healed
‘Cause I’m so calloused
And now I can’t feel
I want to run to You
With heart wide open
Make me broken

Make empty
So I can be filled
‘Cause I’m still holding
Onto my will
And I’m completed
When you are with me
Make me empty

[Chorus:]
‘Til You are my one desire
‘Til You are my one true love
‘Til You are my breath, my everything
Lord, please keep making me

Make me lonely
So I can be Yours
‘Til I want no one
More than You, Lord
‘Cause in the darkness
I know You will hold me
Make me lonely

[Chorus]
