A Day with the Ladies

18 weeks pregnant today
Since all our hubbies are at the National Training Center in California preparing for deployment, one of the wives invited a few ladies over for a girls' day. We spent the morning talking about our pregnancies (one is 28 weeks, one is 13, and I'm 18), comparing and contrasting our discomforts and joys. Then Lisa came over bearing desserts--angel food cake with pudding, whipped cream, and fruit! All of us pregnant ladies dug in as soon as we saw the temptation. Then, we headed to Hobby Lobby to pick out decorations for Beth's baby shower at the end of this month. Jessica and Lisa starting crafting for Baby Eloise and Beth made a wonderful southwestern bake. Lots of goodies to eat today! Then, we went swimming and chatted about our hubbies, pups, and future babies. It was a nice relaxing day getting to know some new friends.

Tim is supposed to return home tomorrow morning from NTC and stay in El Paso until the end of July when he'll return, once again, to the training center. The next couple weeks will be busy as we head to Albuquerque to see friends, friends from Ft. Hood come to visit us, and we try to fit in a babymoon before Tim has his change of command ceremony. Looking forward to having my hubby home for the next month after 7 weeks of deployment training!
