A Treasured Gift

Lincoln has been beyond blessed to receive welcoming gifts from all over the country, a definite reminder of our nomadic lifestyle in the military =). The Lord has provided us with beautiful, loving friends at each post, and even though we may not see each other for months, or years, they still remain a part of our family. Even though this lifestyle is challenging beyond measure, the friends we've made along the way are worth the yearly uprooting of our lives. All this to say, one of my absolute favorite gifts Lincoln received is an old-fashioned pilot cap, extra special since Tim is a pilot. I couldn't wait to photograph Lincoln in it as soon as Addie opened it! On my first attempt, he was a tad cranky and ended up falling asleep in minutes, but a later session in the afternoon brought lots of smiles and even giggles--sooo sweet. This boy can melt my heart. Thanks, Vanessa, for the memorable gift! And thank you, God, for the priceless friends you've given us at each stop.

Thank you! We're so excited to see you guys when you come back. P.S. I'm sooo in awe of how you traveled around Africa with Logan--you're a better woman that I am!!!

Thankfully, Africans LOVE children, so it's almost been beneficial to have them along for this crazy ride. Don't get me wrong... Logan makes everything much more difficult and exhausting! Haha
