Always Something

Well, if it's not megaesophagus,or esophagitis, or bullis vomiting, it's a sprained knee. Poor Wilma. She's been hobbling around the last week and I finally got her to the vet yesterday. They watched her walk down the hallway a few times and then did some x-rays. Luckily, she didn't have a broken bone, but she ended up in this gigantic bandage to heal her knee. When I arrived to pick her up the tech asked if I was there for the pirate dog, haha. The bandage is twice as long as he leg so she can hardly get around. The doc said she'd figure out how to move after about two days. Right now when she tries to walk she just spins herself around and plops down. She has to wear the bandage for two weeks and take an anti-inflammatory every day. She also needs to lose a couple pounds, per the doc. And we have to ensure she doesn't jump off furniture, as much as we can, because her back is showing signs of potential future back disease. The vet said she could end up with a ruptured disk or paralyzed--poor Willy. We'll hope for the best!

Here is a sweet video of Wilma playing with her buddy a couple weeks ago, when she had two functioning knees =).
