Are You Praying for Your Will or God's?

Day 30
If it's God's will, I'd love to expand my readership and reach more people in the name of Christ. In an effort to begin that journey, which I hear from successful bloggers takes quite some time and perseverance, I began researching website design, Adobe Photoshop, favicons, widgets, HTML code, and more. Over the past month I worked "behind the scenes" to create the look you're seeing now. I also learned that in order to begin to increase your audience, social media becomes your new best buddy. Basically, post everywhere! I've yet to commit to Twitter, LinkedIn, and a few others, but I am utilizing Facebook and Pinterest. I created a Facebook fan page for Our Faithful Home (thank you immensely to those who "liked" it!) and a board on Pinterest. I post my entries on the fan page daily and the board whenever I have an image/idea that might capture some interest. At this point, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank those of you who return to read my posts regularly and share my words with others. If it wasn't for YOU, I might as well just be writing in my journal. Currently, my audience sits between 30-170 people per day, based on Google Analytics. It's exciting to see my reach slowly expanding, as I dream of thousands more for the OFH audience. When I pray for this increased popularity, it's because I want to speak love and Christ into your lives. I feel like God's given me a testimony that can be used for His Kingdom and a passion for writing, as part of my purpose. Maybe this is it? Maybe it's not. But when I pray for these desires, I always tell God that I only want this if it's HIS will.

Can I shamelessly (but really, rather shamefully...) ask you to help in Our Faithful Home's growing process? If you see a post you think others, or someone specifically, may like, please share away! Also, if you feel inclined, please leave comments below the posts with thoughts, comments, or questions. During my blog discovery process, I learned that a huge factor in the "credibility" of a blog comes from the number of comments that a post attracts. Several of you are commenting on my fan page (which I SO appreciate) but I don't have many on the actual site. So, if a post gets you thinking about something or asking a question, please consider making a quick remark. Again, I only want OFH to grow if it's God's will! We'll see what happens in the months and years to come =). But, please know I'm deeply appreciative  to those of you who are engaged in life with me via Our Faithful Home. If you ever have any suggestions for me, regarding content or design, please don't hesitate to send them my way! I recognize I'm an amateur in the blogging world, but I'm open and eager to learn!

40 Day Challenge--Day 30:

Pray for God's will to be done. Most of us are praying for something (or several somethings!) on a daily basis that we eagerly "need" answered. Today, when you expresses your requests to God, tell Him that above all, you want His will to be done. Place your full trust in His plan.
