Cardboard Daddy

One of my friends from TX ordered a cardboard cutout of her hubby during his last deployment, and I thought it would be a fun thing for Addie to have in order to prepare her to see Tim again this fall. I needed a high resolution photo of him in his uniform, and the options were limited. I found one Dave took at Tim's change of command ceremony where he's crouched on the helicopter, posing with Chris' family. I added the extra option for Tim to be cut out of the image (although Chris' arm still made it into the cardboard and I had to cut it out =)). You can order all different sizes, and I chose the three feet option thinking that would be about how tall Tim would be kneeling down. The first time Addie saw "him" she got a huge smile and seemed truly excited. I move the cutout around the house during the day and try to get her to notice and interact with it. The problem with changing the cardboard's position is that it seriously scares me! I'll come around the corner and just see a man sitting at the table or in the living room before I realize that A, it's Tim, and B, a cutout. I sure hope it helps Adeline recognize her daddy when he kneels down to hug her in a few months.

Hi Sarah,

I purchased it from Shindigz (http://www.shindigz.com/party/custom-life-size-standee/pgp/13szlsskeepcalm).
