Christmas Recap

We began our Christmas Eve celebration at lunch with the Ashcrafts. Adeline enjoyed the salad bar with me at Jason's Deli...but then she wanted to crawl and it was all downhill from there, so we made an early exit. After lunch we attended church at Pantano Christian. It was a phenomenal service with a beautiful set, moving music, and a short and sweet message from Pastor Glen. We've always said that Addie is the perfect church baby. She loves the music, lights, and the people watching. As long as we kept the crackers flowing she was good!
After church we spent the evening at my Uncle Rick's house with the Luker family. They hired a Santa and Mrs. Clause, whose proceeds are donated to charity.  Addie wasn't a fan, but she did enjoy the gifts Santa brought her! I have to say, he may have been the most accurate looking Santa I've seen and Mrs. Clause was super sweet.
Once Santa left we enjoyed dinner (taquitos, tamales, and mini chimis), the kids opened gifts, we did our annual gift exchange, and Addie's cousin taught her how to "shake it." But the most exciting part of the night was when Adeline decided to walk for the first time. I think she was waiting to accomplish this milestone until she had an appropriate audience to applaud her efforts =). Here is a snippet of our Christmas Eve:
When we got home Tim read The Night Before Christmas amidst the chaos of two dogs, one crawling baby and myself. Not exactly the peaceful reading he had in mind. On Christmas morning we enjoyed a a wonderful breakfast with my mom and the Ashcrafts and then started Addie on her gifts. I think her favorite present was the drum set. She's our little musician in the making.
In the afternoon we went for a stroll at the park and then had dinner with Tim's family. The highlight was watching all the grandkids put on a holiday concert, led by the famous Andrew and his sidekick, Ryan. I so enjoyed watching Addie be a part of the entertainment!
Here's a little compilation of Christmas day:
We capped off the night with dessert at my family's house. It was a busy, blessed holiday, and we're so thankful to have spent it with our loved ones while remembering Christ's birth. Hoping your holiday was wonderful, too!
