Craft Attempt

In trying to think of something to hang over baby girl's crib, I thought of all the shabby-chic wooden signs that are so popular today. You can order these on a million different sites, but I might try to make one myself. I read a tutorial on making these signs and it seems pretty easy. The tricky part will be finding an old piece of wood to transform. You can, of course, buy wood from any home improvement store, but I like the idea of finding a piece (from a barn door, old cabinet, etc.) and refurbishing it. Below are a couple inspiration images. I also like the bible verses used here and if not one of these, I will choose some other scripture to paint on the sign.
