Do Your Favorite T.V. Shows Fit the Two V's?

Day 34
Within the last year I've felt convicted to avert my eyes from television and film that includes vile material. I stopped watching a couple of my weekly shows this season that were getting rather raunchy, not to say that I'm only engaging in Godly media at this point. I still follow Nashville, which I'm pretty sure is falling into the vile category these days--lots of premarital sex, scandal, lying, and the like. Originally, I enjoyed the show for it's music content, but the plot is more about destructive relationships than music now. Anyway, it's a tough transition to stop watching characters I've been following for years, but overall, a wise investment. I'm not perfect by any means in watching only positive material. Psalm 101:3 is clear, though: "I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar...." Will I choose to follow suit?

40 Day Challenge--Day 34:

Make a list of all the television programs you watch. Highlight any shows that contain vulgar material. Choose to abstain from those programs for one week, or an entire season. If you feel convicted to remove any shows from your viewing lineup after completing this challenge, ask God to guide you in doing so. Consider doing the same for any movies you intend to see this week.
