Early Celebrations

Today we pretended that it was Tim's birthday since he'll be in California training on his special day. Luckily we got to spend last year's birthday together, but he missed the one before that when he was in Afghanistan, and we'll miss celebrating next year's because he'll be deployed once again. We started off the day with breakfast at a cute place near campus and then drove around UTEP area before heading to the science museum downtown. We explored the dinosaur exhibit, which Andrew would have LOVED, and saw what is supposedly the most famous fossil in the world. The museum also had a small NASA exhibit and lots of puzzles for Tim to conquer. After that we saw an early showing of The Dark Night; we both thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. The baby must have liked it too because she was kicking constantly. And I only had to pee three times during the film, ha. It was a little unnerving seeing the movie so shortly after the terrible tragedy in CO. Kind of hard not to be paranoid. After the movie we came home to feed the pups and nap and then headed out again for dinner. We planned on going to a Mexican restaurant downtown that a local had suggested, but it was closed. Tim opted for Buffalo Wild Wings as plan B and after a belly full of wings neither of us could fathom dessert so we called it a night. Ha It was a nice, busy day celebrating the life of my hubby.
