Eating Out

1/13/2013

Neither Tim nor I think Addie is allergic to dairy, soy, nuts, or fish, but I'm trying the diet to rule out all possible reasons for her crying after eating. We like to go out to dinner (or bring it in, lately) on Fridays so I started googling restaurants with allergen menus. Several chain restaurants have these type of menus, but many are just for gluten free items. There are a few, however, that note all the top allergens in each dish. I scoured all of these menus and only found ONE restaurant that had a dish and sides I could eat--Famous Dave's. Their country chicken and green beans are free of all the allergens I cut out of my diet. So we headed there for lunch today after checking out storage facilities and hotel options for our move. The lunch was delicious, but at least for the next couple of weeks we'll be eating in while I continue to take soy out of my diet.
