The Daddy-Daughter Dates Begin!

When Tim offered to take Addie to an aviation museum in Santa Teresa, NM yesterday, I happily accepted the idea of a couple hours to myself! At first I thought about getting my hair done (for the first time in years) and indulging in a massage, but both places were booked for the day. Should I clean? Take a bath? Read a book? Go shopping? Oh, the options!

As soon as my two loves headed off for their first adventure together, I basked in the quiet--pure, glorious quiet!
I began by picking up around the house. I can't relax when our home is dirty. Clarification: I can kick back when it's dirty, just not messy =). After that, I ate a completely unhealthy lunch of Reese's and Girl Scout cookies. Then I decided to check off my to-do list that's been piling up for weeks. Read Dr. Dobson's newsletter, write our sponsor child, finally register some baby product that we probably don't even use anymore, write a letter to an imprisoned Christian in China, email my mother-in-law, fill out an Army medical survey, and peruse a World Vision magazine. Check, check, and check! I love crossing off the to-do items, or in this case, removing the mounting stack of papers from the counter; it makes you feel free. If you're an organizing fanatic like me, anyway.

Tim and Addie had a fabulous time and he described her as an angel, minus a pear incident in the car. Here are some pics that he texted me while they were at the museum. (Sorry for the blurry photos; his phone is pretty outdated so the camera isn't great.)
