Happy 11 Months, Lincoln

Well, this is the last month before my guy turns one year old! It's hard to fathom that this time last year I was still pregnant and beyond eager to meet our first son. He continues to be giggly and generally easy-going, but he's kicked up the spice factor in the last couple of weeks (hopefully just due to teething!).
This last month has been buuuuuusy. Lincoln learned to walk about three weeks ago and gets around very quickly now. He falls constantly, but moves pretty well. I love his little waddle. Lincoln can blow a kiss now, give a high five, and point to his nose when asked. He also cut his forth tooth and is working on a couple more.

Lincoln is a total book lover, to the point where he hardly even plays with toys. My kind of boy! All day long he grabs books to read. He likes to peruse the pages himself and snuggles in tight when we read to him. He especially loves tactile books and the ones with the music buttons on the side.  Other than books, Lincoln really enjoys the drum set Tim has set up in the playroom. If he's not in a book, he's "playing" the drums.

He learned how to say mama a couple months ago, but wasn't associating it with me. This month, he started associating the word. I love hearing him say "Mama" as he walks towards me. Heart warming. Lincoln also started saying "Wilma," which sounds like wa-ma. He likes to play fetch with her and enjoys patting her when she comes to sit by him. Wilma gets so excited when Lincoln wakes up from a nap and can't wait to greet him.

As far as his schedule, it's a little different each day, but he usually he wakes up around 7 in the morning. After breakfast, a walk outside, and some play time, he naps around 9 and sleeps for about an hour and a half. Then we usually go out and do something, come back for lunch, play some more and then he naps at 2 for another hour and a half or so. There's more play when he wakes up, followed by dinner, a bath, reading, and then down for the night. Sometimes he sleeps through the night and other times he's up one or two times. I think the nights that he doesn't sleep through is related to teething?
When I was taking the above pictures of Lincoln, Adeline said we should turn on her bubble machine to make him smile. We purchased a cheap-o one for her birthday and she leaps at the chance to use it. Speaking of Addie, she has been a phenomenal big sister lately! Lincoln had a ROUGH week--lots of crying and ear-shattering screaming. Adeline never complained and kept stepping in to suggest things to comfort him, which always worked! I was so impressed with her patience and kindness; she handled him better than I did. On one particularly challenging day, I took her out for ice cream as a thank you for her help.
Here's a little video of cute moments from Lincoln's last month:

Ashley, these photos make me smile, particularly the video! Whose spirits could not be uplifted by such joy?!! His first year birthday will be here before we can bat an eye!
