Happy 6 Months, Lincoln!

On the 19th of June, our guy turned six months old. Over the last month he's enjoyed his new independence now that he can sit up (with help) and stand (in the exersaucer). Prior to this stage, he'd only want to be on his own for ten minutes max--makes for one tired mama--but thankfully, he enjoys playing on his own for a little longer now.
Now, that it's blazing hot in Tucson, swimming is one of our go-to activities. Lincoln took right to the water and has even tried to snooze in his raft. And as usual, whatever Lincoln is playing in, Addie wants to play in, whether it be the exersaucer or the pool raft.
Lincoln is finally sleeping in his room, as of this week. He accepted the crib right away and he's gotten back to sleeping through the night (after a rough few days last week). He might have been waking up more often because he cut his first tooth late last week. I've been feeling his gums for months, and it's finally here. I pray we have another good teething baby, because Addie was a champ through that process. Back to Lincoln sleeping, one of my favorite times during the day is greeting him when he wakes up. He has THE best smile on the planet and it completely melts my heart. I also love this little frog kick that he does whenever he gets excited.
Lincoln's back to eating solids again. As of lately, he's tried butternut squash, corn, cherries, watermelon, pineapple, and pear. Luckily, he's enjoying a few more items this time around. Come mealtime, Adeline often wants to be the one who feeds him, and they both enjoy this process--so cute! When she's not jealous, she's a wonderful little mama to him.
Above all, this little guy loves to laugh. We always get the camera out at the tail end of a laughing fit, so we miss the best part of his giggle, but here's a taste.
The other night as I nursed Lincoln I was amazed by how small he is compared to Adeline, thinking that in only two years he'll be where she is now. In the moment, I wished I could keep him six months forever. I know there's so much joy to look forward to in the months and years to come, but he's just perfect right now--my sweet, giggly boy.
