After the suspected "doctor slip" a couple weeks ago, we went from wanting to be surprised about the sex of this baby to needing to know! At the end of our 20 week ultrasound yesterday, we saw the money shot which revealed that God has blessed us with a boy! Tim was over the moon!!! I was happy either way, but elated for him to finally have his "Lil' Man," as he already dubbed the baby. The technician said the the baby is measuring at exactly his due date, 12/15, which almost never happens. Everything looks healthy and the baby is growing perfectly--such amazing news! He is pressing directly on my cervix (which would explain all the discomfort I've been having), but he didn't want to move for anything today, despite lots of prodding from the tech. Below are the pictures we received at the end of our appointment. I'm suspecting another button nose in the family... After the appointment, Tim and I talked about how we would announce the big news. I saw an image on Pinterest before I was pregnant that I saved for possible use with announcing a future pregnancy. I forgot about it when we told everyone that Addie was going to be a big sister, but thought we could imitate it for announcing the sex . The image on the left inspired our photo shoot later in the day, and the image on the right is what we sent out to family and friends. Here are some others we captured: Addie enjoyed her photo shoot for about five minutes before losing interest. Luckily, I was able to snap a few sweet shots. Love my girl and can't wait to see her in the role of big sis!
