Late Night Cravings

When we first found out I was pregnant, Tim wanted me to have late night cravings so he could experience the stereotypical moment when the dad has to run out and get whatever his wife MUST have; well, that never happened. In the beginning I wanted sour candy frequently and now I desire chips and salsa all the time, but only at reasonable hours. Last night, however, the overwhelming craving for a Sonic icy drink kicked in full force. Despite Tim having risen for work at 4:30 A.M. and working until 8 P.M. yesterday, I had to wake him from sleep to accompany me on my journey. He wasn't so eager to experience this special moment as I hoped =). The poor guy was exhausted, but the nearest Sonic happens to be in an area of El Paso called "the triangle of activity" and Ft. Bliss has warned us of the potential dangers in that zone, so I needed him to go with me. There was no way I could sleep without my craving met, so off we went. To my credit, it really wasn't that late--only 10 P.M. on a Friday--but Tim's work schedule usually doesn't warrant him staying up much later than that. Once we got there I couldn't decide between a slush and the crushed ice in a limeade so I ordered a lemonberry slush, and then ate the ice out of Tim's cherry-limeade, making for one pleased pregnant woman. I'm sure Tim's hoping this doesn't become a habit in the last weeks of my pregnancy...we'll see!
