Lincoln's Room Reveal

A map we ordered on Etsy with a custom quote, Lincoln's life verse

As Lincoln hits six months old, he finally has a room of his own. Based on medical recommendation to keep baby in your room until six months old, we decided to keep Lincoln's future room (the guest room and office) intact for the first few months of his life. A couple weeks ago we moved Tim's office into the empty breakfast nook and started creating Lincoln's nursery. I aimed to create an industrial feel, but we already had several pieces of hand-me-down furniture so it's more like a mish-mosh of everything
We decided not to purchase him all new furniture, so initially the random mix of every color drove me a little crazy, but I've come to terms with the white dresser from my brother's childhood room, the gray rocker from the living room, the driftwood side table from Addie's nursery, and the antique-white crib, also from Addie's nursery. The only piece of furniture we purchased was a bookshelf from World Market. I also bought a rug from Tuesday Morning, and some wall decor from Hobby Lobby and Home Goods.

I'd love to paint his nursery walls, but it's too much effort to repaint when we move out, so they're just plain old white. The only other thing I'm still dissatisfied with is the curtains. I admit it; I have a total curtain problem. I love them to decorate windows, but I can NEVER get it right on the first, second, or even third attempt. I always like what they look like in the store, but then I'm not happy with the full look when I get home--ugh. Sorry, Hubby =). Other than that Lincoln is ready to move in to his new space. AND he's slept through the night all week--for 12 hours! Praise the Lord! Thanks for all your prayers on that front--they worked!
