Mother's Day #2

5/13/2014

My first Mother's Day was an unforgettable one, simply because it was the first year I had the blessing to celebrate this holiday with my own daughter. And to think, next year I'll have be celebrating with two children! Being nine weeks pregnant now, all day morning sickness has settled in and made itself at home; therefore, I don't have much of an appetite and a full breakfast-in-bed didn't sound appealing! Instead, we did a quick doughnut run. It was perfect. Tim presented me with a couple sweet cards and my gift while we ate (a Motherhood Maternity gift card and framed picture of Addie and me).
Tim bought a poster for Adeline to decorate for a Mother's Day project, but to his dismay, she wasn't interested, so he ended up decorating it himself while trying to coax her to help...with no luck. Cute =).

After a day on the couch, we headed out for a teppanyaki dinner. Adeline spent most of the time looking at the fish tank and Japanese dolls, but took a seat for the dinner "show." She didn't crack a smile once, but she was certainly engaged. Everyone around the table kept watching for her reaction. She loved the fried rice and also enjoyed shrimp, steak, and chicken. I'm thankful she's such a good eater!
After dinner, we spent time playing in the backyard and loving on Wilma. It was the perfect, low-key day that this mama needed.
