Nursery Splurge

After looking at what felt like a MILLION gliders and ottomans, I finally fell in love with this Bratt Decor set. We started off our search at the local boutique baby shop and found a few really comfortable, but not so attractive, nursery chairs. Despite their "lived in" look, the prices were still rather high. Then I went to Babies R Us to try out several of their plush chairs. I found one extremely cozy option, but after a couple visits to view the chair, I just wasn't in love with the look--although the price was much better. After that, I started scouring the internet for top rated gliders, all of which are quite pricey, but the reviews supported the cost. I found a rocker at Pottery Barn Kids and Restoration Hardware that was exactly the look I had in mine for our nursery (subdued nautical?) but the price was a little scary. I pinned a few images on Pinterest and kept returning to compare my favorites, their reviews, and cost. My friend, Vanessa, sent me a link to Bratt Decor, based on the images I'd been pinning and I instantly gravitated to the Grand Wheat glider and ottoman (image above). After reading about the company, their extensive celebrity clientele, and pleased customers, I discussed this option with Tim. He liked the look and we both agreed that it's a good investment since the chair would look nice in our living room once we're no longer using it as nursery seating. The chair swivels, rocks, and glides, so we have all the options available for baby girl to choose from once she arrives. We ordered the glider this morning and should have it sometime between August and October. The nesting process has officially kicked off =).

Hi! How do you like the glider? I'm considering buying but haven't been able to find any reviews. Is it big enough for a husband who is 6'4"?
Thanks!

Hi Tori,
I didn't find any reviews either and just went for it because I loved the look so much, ha. When they deliver you have to decide ON delivery if you want to return it (that's how it was for us anyway). I LOVE the look still; we've had it for 9 months now. The width is perfect for feedings, and the height of the back of the chair is perfect. I'm 5'5 and my husband is 5'7 and it reaches the top of my head. I do wish it reclined and that the seat was a little more cushy, but we've been comfortable in it and chose it because we thought we could put it in the living room when we no longer need it for the nursery. It rocks nicely, but doesn't glide super smoothly like some others I've tried. I think it would be big enough for you husband. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase.
