Our First Solo Night

12/3/2012

Last night Addie was officially introduced to Army life--spending the night without Daddy. Tim and his unit left Fort Bliss in the wee hours of the morning to fly their aircraft to port, where the helicopters will start their journey to Afghanistan. I was pretty nervous about being alone with Addie overnight because she had a ROUGH night the day before.  But thank God, she did great! She ate and slept well and her reflux didn't act up too much. We have a couple more nights by ourselves this week, so hopefully we'll establish a nice mommy-daughter routine. We'll have lots more of these solo nights in the years to come so I guess it's best we get used to it early on.
