Shedding the Pounds
I've been extremely surprised by how fast my pregnancy pounds have come off. I knew that breastfeeding would help me lose the weight, but I had no idea how quick it would happen. Between that and my genes I've been very lucky in this area. While I was in the hospital one of the nurses told me not to walk in the halls because the other moms would hate me since it didn't look like I'd just had a baby, ha. It's been 16 days since Adeline was born and I'm five pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight. I gained 30 pounds during the pregnancy (but really 40 if you count the ten pounds I lost between months three and five from morning sickness). Once I'm feeling well enough, start getting some sleep, and regain some energy I would like to begin a more healthy lifestyle, fitness wise. I've always been thin, thanks to genetics, but I need to start working out in order to be physically healthy. Tim and I want Addie to grow up living an active lifestyle and witnessing her parents enjoying fitness, too.
