Sidewalk Chalk for Snack

PictureBlue chalk dusting Addie's nose
Who knew sidewalk chalk was so tasty? I haven't had the desire to try it, but Adeline sure has. I thought she might be interested in the colors and making marks on our patio, but she's not quite there yet. She liked shaking the bag of chalk, and putting pieces in her mouth more than drawing or watching me doodle.

We play in the backyard on most days and yesterday she found a stray piece of chalk while I wasn't looking. A nice chunk of blue was smeared all over the tongue and lips. I think we'll be putting the chalk away for another day (or month).

P.S. Don't mind her mismatching. Addie has designated "outside clothes" since she ends up covered in dirt each time she plays in our backyard. She ruined a few outfits before I figured this out.
