Surprise!

*Sorry for the delay in my daily posts; time with family and napping has taken precedence :).*

Our journey to Tucson went extremely well. We stopped an hour and a half into the drive to feed baby girl, with only a little crying when she had to get back into the car seat, and then made it the rest of the way without stopping...except for Tim, who had to pee. We were so eager for Poppi (my dad) to meet Addie and my mom to hold her once again. We handed Adeline to her Poppi as soon as he opened the door and were busy capturing photos and  video of this precious moment. And to our complete surprise we heard Travis' voice behind us! (We thought he was roaming somewhere around Australia with his new bride.) I immediately teared up at the sight of him and Brooke. I was so eager for them to meet their niece and knowing they canceled the rest of their trip to come home and meet her (and be with the rest of the fam for the holidays) meant everything to me! I will forever cherish that surprise! It was so wonderful to see my brother holding our daughter for the first time; his nerves quickly calmed as he began singing to her--what a beautiful moment! And seeing Brooke hold her was just as wonderful--Addie was wide-eyed watching her new aunt and just so peaceful in Brooke's arms. Uncle T and Aunt B sure made Addie's first Christmas complete!
