PictureBaby girl at 22 weeks
Our little one tricked the last ultrasound technician and most of our family who attended the gender reveal; we found out yesterday that we're actually having a baby GIRL! Talk about shock! We were not expecting it when the tech said, "It's definitely a girl," (at least I wasn't). We had already picked out our boy's name and started thinking about his nursery. Now we have to go from saying "he" to "she" and "his" to "her." Quite the adjustment. The first thing we both said was that Tim's mom was going to FLIP, haha. So many boys later and finally she gets a girl =). I was smiling from ear to ear as the tech continued with the baby's measurements, just in complete awe of this news. It was amazing, in the true sense of the word, to see the four chambers of our baby's heart, both sides of the brain, the orbit of the eye, the kidneys, her little toes and so on. I wish we could have an ultrasound every week to see the beauty of God's creation at work in our baby girl.

As soon as we walked out Tim joked, "Can we at least get a boy dog?" Poor guy will have four females in the house when Baby A comes. When we pulled into the garage last night and he spotted his Lego stack he stated that he wouldn't have anyone to play Legos with now. But I'm pretty sure our girl will want to play Legos with her daddy and throw a ball in the yard. Tim says I'll have to be the disciplinarian now that we're having a girl. And last night before bed he was already worrying about prom, hahaha. I told him we should worry about raising a baby first.

It was great fun to tell our immediate families the baby's gender and hear their reactions. We tried to Skype with both our parents to see their faces when we told them the news, but neither of their videos were working. There was lots of happy squeals and joy. But my grandma takes the cake for the most excited =). She was SO happy, knowing in her heart all along it was a girl. I wish I could have recorded our conversation to hear her glee over and over again.

Well, I guess we will spend this weekend planning for a GIRL!

Congratulations Tim & Ashley !
You are right, not an hour earlier we sat in my driveway after discussing little "Luke" and Granma said, I don't know I just keep
thinking it's a girl, I asked what made her say that even after the
ultra sounds, she said I don't know, maybe because she isn't very
big yet and I said, Yes, but that's because she hasn't been able to
eat enough, Grannma, not convinced said, I guess.
These little girls will steal your hearts and our Tim will be the worst !
So happy for all of you, now go and enjoy.
Love and Prayers,
Aunt Jeanne
