The Fun in Trying Something New

Day 16
After several weekly zoo, park, and library trips with our 16 month old daughter, I'm more than ready for some new adventures. Yesterday, we attempted seeing a movie for the first time at the theater. I knew she'd only sit for a few minutes here and there, but to my surprise, she sat peacefully for half of the film. The beginning of the movie started with a vintage Disney sketch involving Mickey Mouse so she was hooked from the get go. Addie sat cuddled on my lap with her hand in a bag of popcorn in awe of the massive screen and surround sound, and dancing to the sing-a-long songs of Frozen. And then she discovered the stairs...which lead to half-time in the arcade. I was so excited that our new adventure went better than I anticipated and Addie had a blast experiencing something new and unexpected.

40 Day Challenge--Day 16:

Try something new! We all have a bucket list that isn't fully checked off, and today is the perfect day to start marking off another item. I say "start" because you don't need to successfully complete it, yet. (Addie wasn't ready to watch a full movie, and although she didn't sit perfectly through the whole film, she still had fun.) Give something new a shot, don't expect perfection the first time, and remember that God will guide you in your new endeavor.
