Trick or Treat

Last night Adeline celebrated her second Halloween and loved every minute of the evening. We headed to my brother-in-law's house for the festivities where the kids enjoyed playing outside and eating pizza prior to trick-or-treating.

As we headed out to the neighborhood, Adeline happily followed her cousins to the first house, and then wanted to dig into her candy instantly. We tried to get her to put a lollipop back in her bag, but she persevered on her own and unwrapped the candy. That ended up working perfectly because the same sucker kept her busy all night and she didn't desire any other treats, although she was making out quite nicely.

Addie tried to walk into a couple houses, which people got a kick out of, and made perfect sense to her. Every time we go to a front door we always go in, so why would Halloween be any different =)?

She said "trick or treat" to most people handing her candy and did well with her "thank you." After she walked away from each house, she'd quickly exclaim, "Get more!" Addie made it up and down four streets before she wanted to be carried and lost her interest in trick-or-treating. Pretty impressive for our little one who isn't even two years old yet. We had so much fun watching her participate in the festivities and sharing in her joy! (I promise she had a blast despite the lack of smiles below.) I'm already looking forward to Halloween next year, when our little guy can dress up alongside his big sis.
