What Makes You Laugh?

Day 28
One of the sweetest things I've had the blessing to witness is the joy and laughter that Adeline brings to my grandma. I love watching great-granddaughter and great-grandmother in hysterics together. I can't quite fathom the beauty of being a part of Adeline's grandchildren's lives--what a gift! And let me tell you, my grandma whole-heartedly cherishes this blessing! I don't know what I enjoy more, watching Adeline's antics or my grandma's giddy, knee-slapping, hand-clapping laughter in response. Probably the latter =).

Ecclesiastics 3:1 states that "there is a time for everything...," and it verse four we see that "there is a time to weep and a time to laugh." As Easter approaches, I think about all that there is to weep for in imagining what Jesus endured, leading up to and during his crucifixion, as well as the heartbreak of his loved ones. And the sacrifice God made in losing His only Son to a brutal, blood-streaked death. Yet, there is abundant joy to be had in celebration of His resurrection and the gift of eternal life He's given us. Let's embrace the joy today, in honor of Christ's AWEsome gift to each and every one of us, should we choose Him.

40 Day Challenge--Day 28:

Laugh! Watch something, read something, experience something, or talk to someone who makes you laugh. Pay attention to the happiness and release that results from your laughter. Make a conscious effort to carry that lightness with you throughout the day. Happy laughing!
